The Timeline Series:
Four Strats that reflect a possible and plausible evolution of a single 3-color sunburst Stratocaster through the decades since 1960 when the guitar was built.
Imagine a single owner who has enjoyed the guitar for years as it was when it was built, and then as time passed the guitar showed wear from being played often.
Then as the owner has encountered other players and sounds, they modified their Strat by adding a humbucking bridge pickup.
Then more gigs followed, and the owner decided they wanted a 1-piece maple neck and simply removed the original neck and bolted on a maple neck, highlighting the ability to modify Fender guitars to suit personal tastes.
And finally, the owner had the guitar sprayed black (over the top of the existing 3-color sunburst). They also updated all the pickups, still searching for their “sound”.
