A large variety of onboard amp characters and effects support every musical style, and you can customize setups and enhance daily sessions with the companion BOSS Tone Studio app for iOS and Android. And thanks to advanced BOSS wireless technology, you have complete freedom to move around with no instrument cable to trip you up.

You also get access to over 60 BOSS effects, including a wide selection of overdrives, distortions, and boosters, plus mod, delay, and reverb effects optimized for the amp’s stereo speaker system. And with six onboard memories, you can store your favorite amp and effects setups for instant recall.
High-Performance BOSS Wireless Technology
BOSS’s acclaimed digital wireless guitar technology is at the heart of Katana-Air EX, providing transparent sound and lightning-fast response without any lag or dropouts. The included transmitter offers up to 12 hours of playing time per charge, and the integrated motion sensor and standby function conserve energy when the system is idle. This allows you to keep the transmitter plugged in between sessions and turn the system on just by picking up your instrument. When it’s time to charge, simply connect the transmitter to the amp’s convenient docking port.
Wireless Foot Control with the EV-1-WL and FS-1-WL
The optional EV-1-WL Wireless MIDI Expression Pedal and FS-1-WL Wireless Footswitch expand the Katana-Air EX experience, letting you remotely operate functions you assign in the BOSS Tone Studio mobile app. Control volume and wah, change patches, and trigger the app’s practice tools—all with a cable-free connection.
